Welcome to my high school teaching portfolio. I have logged 11 years of work as a licensed K-12 art teacher in Utah. I spent 10 of those years teaching underserved, diverse and vulnerable populations at various high schools in the Utah Wasatch Front. These schools included a large 5A ‘west-side’ high school, a very small private high school/middle school adjoined to a teen Residential Treatment Center, and a small public ‘alternative’ high school. I also spent one year teaching at a K-8 private school for a change of pace. I have been the most passionate about the time I spent teaching the underserved, diverse and vulnerable teens in the various high schools. I have previously felt a great draw to serve those teens.

I believe in a constructivist and collaborative classroom. My classroom is a workshop where students are encouraged to be creative, reflective, and engaged. These images should link you to information you need to know about me and my teaching practice.
